“I want to be young forever…”

At the end of the day this is just an opinion, and my personal opinion at that.

I feel as if the concept of getting old, or appearing old etc. Is looked at through such a negative lense because of our love for this world. It is as if subconsciously we are running away from death so much that we want to remain young forever.

As Muslims we are constantly reminding ourselves of death not because we are morbid, rather it is a reminder which is heavy in weight.
Yes, we all are going to die one day. Could be tonight, could be tomorrow, could be next week. The reality is that we will die and be responsible to answer to our Lord. Don’t runaway from the thought of death, rather accept the fact and prepare yourself for that day.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Remember often the destroyer of pleasures,” by which he meant death.

A reminder to myself first and foremost.

It really shows the deficiency of one’s understanding of Tawheed…

It really shows the deficiency of one’s understanding of Tawheed when certain remarks are made.

How can one who thoroughly  understands Tawheed make jest at someone for having a physical feature which they were born with?

How can one who thoroughly understands Tawheed make jest at someone for struggling financially?

How can one who thoroughly understands Tawheed make jest at someone for being of a certain race, ethnicity, or tribe?

Are we ignorant to the fact that Allah is the creator of the Heavens, the earth and everything in between?

Ya ikhwaan, NO ONE has a choice in who they will be, or how they will look, or what nation they would be from. We act as if there is a catalogue which people are able to choose how they would want to appear and live like…

Allahul musta’an.

May Allah ta’ala rectify our affairs and grant us understanding, اللهم آمين.

How to Count the Remembrances After the Prayer

Darussaafi's avatarSalafiyyah

Below is a chapter from the Book entitled: Fathul Ma’een Bi Tasheeh Hadith Aqd Tasbeeh bi Yameen written by Fareeh ibn Salih with the Introduction by Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdillah bin Baz rahimahullah

” كيفية عد التسبيح والتحميد والتكبير “

How to Count the Tasbeeh, Tahmeed, and Takbeer

There has not come any clear evidence about how to do so specifically. So like that:it is performed together using the conjunction (و). So it is said: Subhanallah, wal-Hamdulilah, wallahu Akbar. Subhanallah, wal-Hamdullah, wallahu Akbar…until the specified number. It was said: it should be performed individually, so it is said: Subhanallah, Subhanllah, Subhnallah…until the specified number. Then Alhamdulliah, Alhamdulliah, Alhamdulliah…until the specified number. Then Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar…until the specified number.

Imam Nawawi rahimahullah said in Sharh Muslim (5/93): “In regards to his statement about how to count the Tasbeeh, Tahmeed, Takbeer that Abu Salih rahimahullah said: Allahu…

Giving the salaam to the one reciting the Qur’aan Shaykh al-Albānī (rahimahullaah)

‘Uqbah bin ‘Aamir al-Juhani (radi Allaahu ‘anhu) said: “We were sitting in the masjid reciting the Qur’aan; then the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) entered and gave us the salaam, and we returned him the salaam…”

Shaykh al-Albānī (rahimahullaah) comments:
“I say: this hadeeth has some fiqh (understanding), which is that it is legislated to give the salaam to the one who is sitting and reciting the Qur’aan. So in it, there is a refutation of the one who holds that that is disliked, which – along with being a mere opinion – opposes this hadeeth and the generality of his (صلى الله عليه وسلم) statement: ‘Spread the salaam amongst you.’[1] And if it has been authentically established that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) had silently approved[2] the Companions’ (actions) when they gave him the salaam while he was praying in Masjid Qubaa’, and he replied to them by a gesture with his noble hand,[3] then all the more reason why it is legislated to give the salaam to the one reciting the Qur’aan outside the prayer; and the reply then will be verbal, not a gesture, as is obvious to the people of understanding. And this was the opinion of (Imaam) an-Nawawee (rahimahullaah).”

the one who is patient upon his religion…

On the authority of Anas ibn Malik that the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa salam said:

يأتي على الناس زمان الصابر فيهم على دينه كالقابض على الجمر

“There shall come upon the people a time in which the one who is patient upon his religion will be like the one holding onto a burning ember.”

[Saheeh Tirmidhi no. 2260]

Imam as-San’aani rahimahullah said:

“This is due to the flooding of evil, the concealment of good, the decrease in its supporters, the harming of those remaining upon truth, the increase of the people of innovation, and the consideration of good as evil and evil as good. So the one who is patient upon his religion is like one holding on to a burning ember. This is a comparison between something intangible with something tangible”

[Tanweer Sharh Jami’ as-Sagheer (11/192)]

Imam al-Munaawi rahimahullah said:

“…That is: the one patient upon the rulings of the Book and the Sunnah will suffer from what he is afflicted with of difficulty and severity from the people of innovation and misguidance similar to the suffering of one who takes fire with his hand and holds on to it. Rather, sometimes it is more difficult. This is a miracle for he sallahu alayhi wa salam reported about the unseen and it occurred”

[Fayd ul-Qaadir (6/446)]

Subhanhallah! This is what we see today that the people holding fast to the religion are afflicted due to the above reasons. May Allah make us patient upon Islam and the Sunnah.

[Benefit] How to Form Good Habits – An Islamic Perpsective

Darussaafi's avatarSalafiyyah

Forming good habits are something very important because the Muslim needs to make good his/her habit. At the same time, he/she must work hard to rid themselves of any bad habits, which are not befitting their character. In order to learn how to form good habits, we return to the following Hadith of the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa salam:

It was narrated that Yunus bin Maisarah bin Halbas said:

I heard Mu’awiyah bin Abu Sufyan narrating that the Messenger of Allah said:

Goodness is a (natural) habit while evil is a stubbornness (constant prodding from Satan). When Allah wills good for a person,He causes him to understand the religion.

My love for the Qameese/ Thobe:

My love for the Qameese:

Growing up I used to playfully mock the deen in which I now follow. Certainly my heart was blind towards the Haqq. Never would I have thought growing up that I would wear a qameese, or even take it to be my favourite garment. It was a transition with many challenges, from tucking in my qameese when friends and family seen me, to putting it on only when I attend the Masajd… It was a transition which moulded me to care less what people care to say. Though the qameese isn’t necessarily considered wajib to some, it remains my favourite item to wear because of the benefit it brings.

Some of the benefits include:
° Comfort
° Being greeted by fellow ikhwaan
° Modesty
° Awrah being fully covered during and outside of salat
° & that it was the most beloved garment to our Nabi ﷺ.

Indeed it was a dress of customs, but I am not aware of any other type of garment which covers your awrah as the qameese does. It is undeniable that when one goes in rukku’ or sajdah that their pants cups their awrah. Allah commands us to observe modesty yet we meet him (In salat) sometimes in tight garments where our shirt rides up in sujood, or the shape of awrah is visible, wAllahul musta’an.

This was a brief illustration on my personal love for the Qameese, furthermore:

Imam Shawkani rahimahullah said:

Narrated by Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her, that: The most beloved garment to the Prophet (ﷺ) is the qameese.
Reported in Tirmidhi

Imam Shawkani rahimahullah said:
The Hadith proves the recommendation of wearing the qameese. Verily it was the most beloved clothing to the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa salam because it is more capable of covering the body than the rida (upper garment) and izar (lower garment) which are in need of tightening and other than that unlike the qameese”

(Nayl al-Awtaar)
