Preventing an innovation in the masjid | Sh. Uthaymeen

Shaykh Al Uthaymeen said:
Those who come to the Masjids to innovate in it an innovation, they are prevented from it except if it Fitnah is feared from doing so, such as if they were to be prevented fighting will occur in the Masjids and markets, thus here we repel the greater of the two evils with the lease of the two.

What to say upon finish reading the Qur’an?

What to say upon finish reading the Qur’an?
Here is a benefit on what to say when you finish reciting the Quran. Unfortunately, the innovation of reading (صدق الله العظيم) has become very widespread. The Sunnah is the following:

Aisha radiallahu anha said:
The Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa salam did not sit in a sitting, or recite Quran, or pray a prayer except he completed it with those words. So I said: Oh Messenger of Allah, I see that you do not sit in a gathering or recite Quran or pray a prayer except you complete with the following words. He said: Yes. Whoever says good, it will complete it for him and will be a seal for that good. And whoever said evil, it will be an expiation for him:
سبحانك وبحمدك ، لا إله إلا أنت ، أستغفرك وأتوب إليك
O Allah, You are free from every imperfection; praise be to You. I testify that there is no true god except You; I ask Your Pardon and turn to You in repentance
[Reported by Nasai in Amal ul-Yawm wa Laylah and graded Saheeh by Shaikh Wad’iee in Saheeh Musnad no. 1598]
Imam Nasaai rahimahullah placed the chapter:
ما ختم تلاوة القرآن
“What to complete the recitation of the Quran with [i.e. what to say]”
[Sunan al-Kubra (6/84)]

So this is what should be read when one is finished reciting the Quran and not

Hassan ibn ‘Attiyah rahimahullah spoke the truth when he said:
ما ابتدع قوم بدعة في دينهم إلا نزع الله من سنتهم مثلها
“A people do not innovate in their religion an innovation, except Allah will remove from their Sunnah something similar”
[Reported by ad-Daarami no. 99 and the chain is Saheeh]
So let us replace the innovation by returning to the Sunnah.
Allah says:
Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad ) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much

The du’aa of a traveller

Is The Du’a of The Traveler Accepted?
Ash-Shaykh al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:
“Traveling is from the reasons why the du’a is answered and the viewpoint of this is that several hadeeths have been narrated regarding that the du’a of the traveler will not be rejected, hence the Messenger ,, brought mentioning of the word ’traveling’ which indicates that traveling has a great affect upon the supplication being answered and especially if it is a long journey and distant from the home, for indeed the person’s heart will become stronger in faith and reliance upon Allah azza wajal.”

Advice To a Student of Knowledge Who Feels Like Leaving Seeking Knowledge – Shaikh Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbad

Question: I am a student of knowledge in the Islamic University and now I do not know what happened to me in terms that I want to leave studying. So advise me. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer: “This affair which you are thinking of in terms of leaving studying, is it an affair connected to those behind you [i.e. your family]? Or has aversion, abandonment, anxiety, and boredom afflicted you and due to that you cannot study?

If those behind you [i.e your family] need you and there is no one to take your place in that, and so you want to leave off studying, then this has a valid reason/argument. If the affair is related to the fact that a [internal] disturbance has afflicted you and [you feel] a lack of comfort, then it is upon you to perform ruqyah on yourself, seek another person to perform ruqyah on you, and go to a doctor to cure yourself. If the affair is like this, then do this”.

Benefit regarding praying in pants | Sh. Uthaymeen

Question: Oh Virtuous Shaikh! Many congregants who wear pants [during the prayer], while in the position of prostration or bowing their awrah uncovers from above and they do not know that. So what is the ruling on that?
Answer: “There is no doubt that by wearing pants something will be missed in the prayer. First: complete tranquility while sitting [will be missing]. So like this, you find that those who wear pants sit on their heels [during prayer] along with bending their back a little.
Also, it prevents complete prostration. Sometimes the pants shrink and the top of the awrah uncovers, if what he is wearing on top does not hang down [to cover the awrah].
First: it is necessary not to wear pants because the Qamees is more concealing, spacious, and better for a person.
Second: if he wears pants due to a need like being a policeman and other than that, then let the pants be spacious so that he can do the prayer according to what is necessary. As well, what he wears above it should be apparent [i.e. covering], so that if the pants shrink when he prostrates, that which is above it will be concealing [his awrah]”.

The permissibility of a man asking for religious leadership which he intends from it the reward from Allah | Sh. Fawzan

It was narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abi Al-As said:
“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, make  me the Imam of my people.’ He said: ‘You are their Imam, so consider the weakest among them and choose a Mu’adhdhin who does not accept any payment for his Adhan.'”
Declared Authentic By Imam Al Albaani (Saheehul Jaamia 1480) and Imam Muqbil (As Saheehul Musnad 906)
Shaykh Saalih Al Fawzaan said:
Thus this narration indicates upon the permissibility of a man asking for religious leadership which he intends from it the reward from Allah Subhanaahu Wa Taala. The Imam is a religious position which rewards are intended from it. There is no problem with seeking it (wanting to be the Imam) desiring in goodness, as for if the position is a worldly position such as the leadership or office, then the man doesn’t ask for it, because the prohibition has come regarding asking for the leadership and that the one who asks for it will be entrusted to it and he who doesn’t ask for it will be aided upon it.

Is it permissible for the one who says directly after the Salaam ( of concluding the prayer), he seeks from those praying to mention Al Faatiha for cure? | Sh. Muqbil

Question:
Is it permissible for the one who says directly after the Salaam ( of concluding the prayer), he seeks from those praying to mention Al Faatiha for cure?
Imam Muqbil Ibn Haadee Al Waadiee:
No, this Is an innovation, As Sanaanee said in Subulis Salaam after he mentioned the supplications which have been reported after the prayer, such as
And such as the reading of Ayatul Kursi, At Tasbeeh (saying Subhanallah) At Takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) At Tahleel (saying La ilaaha Illallah).
He says: And as for the statement: Al Faatiha due to such and such intention, then it is an innovation, it hasn’t been affirmed from the prophet Sallallahu alaihi wassallam.
End.
