What should women do in prayer when the Imaam’s microphone shuts off?

By Shaykh Muqbil bin Haadee al-Waadi’ee may Allah have mercy on him

Question: There are women praying behind an Imaam who leads [salah] with a microphone. During prayer the microphone shuts off, what should the women do in that instance?

Answer: One of the women being led should step forward and lead the rest. If the microphone works again and they are still in a unit* then they should return praying along with the Imaam. If they have passed the unit of prayer, then they should break away from the Imaam, and Allah’s aid is sought.

There once was a man who left the prayer while being lead by Mu’aadh bin Jabal, may Allah be pleased with him. This was the instance when the Prophet, peace be upon him…

A small abstract of a poem on the correct belief one should have as someone who adheres to the sunnah [

A small abstract of a poem on the correct belief one should have as someone who adheres to the sunnah. Entitled ‘Laamiyah’, attributed to Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (May Allah have mercy on him):

وأقول في القرآن ما جاءت به آياته فهو الكريم المنزل
And I say regarding the Qur’an (only) that which has come [in its] verses, for it is the Noble Revelation

And I say, “Allah, the Mighty and Majestic said [and likewise] ‘the chosen one (نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم) [said],” and I do not explain away (their speech)

And all the verses of the attributes I pass them on in truth, just as the first (and best of generations) have transmitted [without explaining them away]

And I return the obligatory responsibility towards them to those who transmitted them (intact) and I protect them from all that is imagined (with respect to their realities)

”Admonish me and be brief’”

A man came to the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and said: ”Admonish me and be brief’”; so the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said to him:
إِذَا قُمْتَ فِي صَلَاتِكَ فَصَلِّ صَلَاةَ مُوَدِّعٍ
”When you stand for your prayer, then pray a farewell prayer (i.e. as if it is your last Salah before death).”
”Do not speak with a statement for which you may have to apologize tomorrow.”
”And forgo what is in the hands of the people (i.e. do not be desperate for the worldly possessions of the people).”

The Ruling on A Woman Gathering Her Hair on Her Head in the Form of a Ball? Shaikh Ibn ul-‘Uthaymeen

Darussaafi's avatarSalafiyyah

Question: What some women do in terms of gathering the hair of their head in the form of a ball at the back of their head. Does this enter into the threat:

ونساء كاسيات عاريات رؤوسهن كأسنمة البخت

‘Women who will be dressed but appear to be naked, inviting to evil; and they themselves will be inclined to it. Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bactrian camel…”

[Saheeh Muslim no. 1633]

Answer: “As for a woman gathering the hair of her head due to work then after that she lets it go, then there is no harm in it because this is not done for beautification or adornment. However, it is due to a need. As for raising it and gathering it in a form of beautification, then if it is above the head then it enters into the prohibition due to the statement of…

The Ruling on a Woman Going Out to Work – Shaikh Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbad

Darussaafi's avatarSalafiyyah

Question: How do we reconcile between the statement of Allah :

وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ

And stay in your houses [33:33]

And between the Hadith:

اخْرُجِي فَجُدِّي نَخْلَكِ لَعَلَّكِ أَنْ تَصَدَّقِي وَتَفْعَلِي مَعْرُوفًا ‏

Go out and take the harvest of your date palms, for perhaps you will give Zakah or do some good (give voluntary charity).

[Sunan Nasaai 3550]

Because some people use that as evidence for a woman to go out to work without a need?

Answer: “As long as she is the owner of the palm tree and she has a need to take it and there is none to take her place, then there is no harm in a woman going out for this necessity. Also, there is no harm in her going out for a need. Like a woman working at a school or as an employee between women in an environment of women…

The Ruling on a Student Sitting in a the Seat of Another Student – Shaikh Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbad

Darussaafi's avatarSalafiyyah

Question: If a student always sits in [one] place from the seats in the class and he is known for this place and another student comes to sit in his place. Is it allowed for him to make the other stand and he sits in his place?

Answer: “Yes, if everyone has a specific place and someone comes to another place and sits in it. So the companion of that place can request him to stand. This is because everyone has a specific place. So him leaving off his place to sit in another place is not allowed for him unless he has the permission of the one who owns it. As for if he too does not have permission because those in charge want everyone in their place and they are known by a number which is written on the seat or a board in front of him and everyone is known by…

And most of them follow nothing but conjecture:

And most of them follow nothing but conjecture:

Surah Yunus, Verse 35:
Say: “Is there of your (Allah’s so-called) partners one that guides to the truth?” Say: “It is Allah Who guides to the truth. Is then He, Who gives guidance to the truth, more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? Then, what is the matter with you? How judge you?”
Surah Yunus, Verse 36:
And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, Allah is All-Aware of what they do.
Surah Yunus, Verse 37:
And this Quran is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allah (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurat (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws and orders, etc, decreed for mankind) – wherein there is no doubt from the the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists).

It’s not allowed for a person who sees someone being duped at a shop to stay silent

“It’s not allowed for a person who sees someone being duped at a shop to stay silent: [he sees someone] asking about the price of some goods and the shop owner tells him that its price is a hundred but that person [watching] knows that it’s [really] fifty, rather it’s waajib for him to tell that customer that its price is fifty in the markets—and that is not regarded as cutting off someone’s sustenance, as some of the common folk think.”

Imaam Al-Barbahaaree said, “However, if you see a person whose manner and opinion is despicable, he is wicked, sinful and oppressive, yet he is a person of the Sunnah, accompany him and sit with him, since his sin will not harm you. If you see a man who strives hard and long in worship, is abstemious, being continual in worship, except that he is a person of innovation, do not sit with him, do not listen to his words and do not walk along with him, since I do not feel safe that you will not eventually come to be pleased with his way and go to destruction along with him.”
