Naseeha: Fitnah is like a hurricane | Musa Millington

(Advice) Fitnah is like a hurricane it destroys everything and everyone in its path. However, when hurricane comes on land it decreases speed and ceases to exist. Likewise when fitnah is approached with knowledge and avoidance it dies. Therefore spend your time doing good deeds and that which benefits in this world and the hereafter and stay away from fitnah and its people as it only increases a person in wasting his time, sin and eventually regret. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said:

” Verily the successful one is who avoids fitnah.”

And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants).

An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon).

Alhamdulilah, today I had the chance to visit the masjid located in Montego Bay, only to find duroos in adabul mufrad and fiqh. Allahumma baarik, may Allah continue to shower his blessings upon the Island – and may He continue to guide it’s people to the truth!

I worshipped Allaah for 50yrs and I didn’t find the sweetness of worshipping until I left off three things

*Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal رحمه الله تعالى said*
I worshipped Allaah for 50yrs and I didn’t find the sweetness of worshipping until I left off three things
*1. I left pleasing people and I got energy of talking the truth;*
*2. I left the company of evil people until I found the company of righteous people;*
*3. I left the sweetness of the world until I found the sweetness of the Hereafter.*

The Virtue of Memorizing the Qur’an: Sheikh Muqbil

Sheikh Muqbil ibn Haadee al-Waadi’ee was asked:

Question: Is memorizing the Qur’an an obligation for the Muslim, or is contemplating it and acting in accordance with it what is obligatory?

Response: Contemplating its meanings and acting in accordance with it and its rulings is what is obligatory. As for memorization, then that is a excellent virtue.

The one who is skilled in the Qur’an will be with the noble righteous recording angels, and the one who recites while experiencing difficulty in doing so, stumbling over it, will have two rewards.

And the Prophet (ﷺ) also said:

It will be said to the one who has any of the Qur’an memorized, “Recite and ascend in rank. Recite in the same manner and speed that used to recite during the worldly life, and your rank will be at the last ayah that your recite.”

And the Prophet (ﷺ) used to encourage his companions to memorize the Qur’an and to study the Qur’an, just as he said in the hadeeth of ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Aamir recorded by Muslim:

If any one of you goes out to the masjid in the morning and learns a single ayah, that is better for him than a camel. And two ayaat would be better for him than two camels. And three or four would be better for him than the same number of camels.

So memorizing the Qur’an is an excellent virtue and holds a high position.

The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.

And the Prophet (ﷺ) used to hold the memorization of the Qur’an in great standing during his time, for once when Saalim Mawla Abi Hudhayfah was praying, the Prophet (ﷺ) stopped to listen to his recitation of the Qur’an and said, “Praise be to Allah who placed the likes of this person in my ummah.” And one night he passed by Abu Moosaa al-Ash’ari while he was praying and was amazed when he heard his voice, so in the morning he said, “O Abu Moosaa, if you had seen me, I was listening to your recitation.” And he also said, “Abu Moosaa has been given a melodious voice like the melodious voices of the family of Dawood.” And so Abu Moosaa replied, “If I had known that you were listening, I would have refined it for you” – meaning, I would have made it more beautiful for you.

So the point is that memorization of the Qur’an holds a high status and the Sahabah used to compete in that, as did the Taabi’oon. And I say: one who has memorized the Qur’an has something more ready and effective in terms of a reminder than one who has not memorized it, for he is able – as Allah wills – to bring its ayaat to mind and remember them. And also in that vein, many of the fields of Islamic knowledge will be made easier for him when he has memorized the Qur’an. And Allah is the One whose aid is sought.

The scholars have said: it is disliked that you give the first and second tasleems along with your imam | Sh.Uthaymeen rahimahullah

The scholars have said: it is disliked that you give the first and second tasleems along with your imam, but as for if you give the first tasleem after (the imam gives his) first tasleem and you give the second tasleem after (the imam gives his) second tasleem then there is nothing wrong with this, but what is better/preferable is that you do not give tasleem except after (the imam gives) the two tasleems

SHAYKH AL-ALBAANI رحمه الله: THAT WHICH DESCRIBES A WOMAN WHEN SHE IS ALIVE IS WORSE AND WORSE!

SHAYKH AL-ALBAANI رحمه الله: THAT WHICH DESCRIBES A WOMAN WHEN SHE IS ALIVE IS WORSE AND WORSE!

‘… Transmitted by Umm Ja’far bint Muhammad bin Ja’far that Faatimah رضي الله عنها, the daughter of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: ‘O Asmaa’, I am repulsed by what is done to the women – at the time of death – when they lay a piece of cloth over the woman that describes her shape.”

Asmaa’ responded: “O daughter of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ; should I not show you something that I saw done in Abyssinia?”

So she called for some palm branches of clover and then after dying it, laid the cloth upon Faatimah. Faatimah exclaimed, “How nice and beautiful! It distinguishes the woman from the man (i.e. it does not describe the body shape). When I die, I want you and ‘Alee to wash me and do not allow anyone else to enter.”

[It was related by Aboo Nu’aym in al-Hilyah and by al-Bayhaqee.]

Now look at Faatimah رضي الله عنها, the daughter of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ how she disliked and found it shameful that the clothing of the dead woman describes the (dead) woman’s body!

Therefore, there is no doubt that which describes a woman when she is alive is worse and worse! So let the Muslim women of today ponder and think on this. The Muslim women of today who dress up in tight clothing which describes her breasts, her waist, her buttocks, her legs and other body parts. Then (let the women) seek forgiveness of Allaah سبحانه و تعالى and repent to Him.”
